A Stacked Radar Chart?

Excel supports stacked column charts, stacked bar charts, and stacked line charts. But there is no option to create a stacked radar chart. But, as it turns out, a stacked radar chart is possible if you first create a stacked column chart, and then change the chart type to either of the first two radar chart sub-types (selecting the filled radar chart sub-type doesn't work).

The figure below shows a standard radar chart.

 

Here's the same data depicted in a "stacked" radar chart, using the technique described above.

Important caveat

In the true spirit of Excel oddities, there is a serious problem: If you save your workbook and then re-open it, the stacked radar chart reverts to a standard radar chart (Doh!).

So if you really need to use a stacked radar chart, you'll need to copy the chart and save it as a picture.
